Bhojpur District of Nepal

Bhojpur District is situated eastern part of Nepal Koshi Zone. The district, with Bhojpur as its district headquarters, to the northern part of this district lies the beautiful small city of Dingla. Various hill castes, Brahmin (Bahun in Nepali), Kshetriya (Chhetri in Nepali) and ethnic group like Rai reside within this beautiful area. This is the Place where Rudrakshya trees are grown naturally in the forest as well as individually on people's land.

Champe is the other small town where people from surrounding villages come and sell their products. This happens every 15 days and is called Hatiya. Balankha (Walangkha) is one of the growing towns in the southwest are of Bhojpur. Another town Ghoretar, southeast of Bhojpur, has been a center point of trade, education and administration for a long time. It is famous as Hatuwa Gadi "a powerful Fort of Kirat king Sunahang" in Kirant history.

Beautiful Lake

Tilicho Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world. It is located in the height level of 4,949 m from sea level. This lake is in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas in Manang district of Nepal. Mountain lakes are known to geographers as is a mountain lake if they are caused by glacial activity. Tarns are found mostly in the upper reaches of the Himalaya, above 5,500 metres. Due to the extremely unwelcoming surrounding territory and the difficulties associated with reaching the area, this lake is rarely visited by outsiders. So, we have to make this lake famous to spread our natural beauty in the world by giving the true information about this lake.

As it was also the site of one of the highest ever altitude scuba dives, It can be an adventurous journey by scuba dives in the natural beauty of the world. A Russian diving team consisting of Andrei Andryushin, Denis Bakin and Maxim Gresko conducted a scuba dive in the lake in 2000.

Trekkers attempting the Annapurna Circuit route usually cross the watershed between Manang and Kali Kandaki valleys over the 5414 meters high Thorong La passes. The alternate route skirting Tilicho Lake from the north has been gaining popularity. This route is more demanding and requires at least one night of camping. New lodges have been built between Manang and the lake, but there is no facility of teahouses or lodges past the Tilicho BC lodges some kilometers east of the lake and the next village of Thini Gaon in the Kali Kandaki valley. Most groups spend two nights between these places. People can have the pleasure of spending journey time entirely there. There are two passes leading to Thini Gaon and Jomsom; Mesokanto La and Tilicho North pass known also as Tilicho "Tourist pass". These routes via Tilicho Lake are more often closed by snow than the higher Thorong La. This is the most beautiful natural beauty of the Nepal and we can be famous by our glorying the world by informing the real truth to the visitor of the world.

Water Resources of Nepal

Water is indispensible for life. But, 97.5% of all the water on Earth is saltwater, leaving only the remaining 2.5% as freshwater. Approximately 70% of the freshwater available on the planet is frozen in the icecaps of Antarctica and Greenland. This leaves only the remaining 0.7% of the total water resources worldwide accessible for direct human uses. This is the water found in lakes, rivers, reservoirs and those underground sources that are shallow enough to be tapped at an affordable cost. This also is the only amount that is regularly renewed by rain and snowfall and therefore available on a sustainable basis.

Freshwater is mainly utilized for household use, water supply, agriculture and in industries. About 67% of the water is used in irrigation for the production of food grains worldwide. The per capita use of water also reflects the living standard and economic activities of the people. The comprehensive assessment of water management in agriculture revealed that one in three people are already facing water shortages (IPCC, 2007). Around 1.2 billion people, or almost one-fifth of the world’s population, live in areas of physical scarcity. Another 1.6 billion people, or almost one quarter of the world’s population, face economic water shortage (where countries lack the necessary infrastructure to take water from rivers and aquifers); nearly all of which are in the developing countries. To make it worse, while resources are limited, the demand of water in such countries is ever increasing with the growth in population.

Furthermore, the spatial and temporal distributions of freshwater are highly sensitive to climate change resulting in a more unfavorable situation. These impacts are more prominent in a mountainous country like Nepal. The dense orographic barriers and substantial snow and glacier covered areas are mainly accountable for such responses affecting the planning, development and management of water resources of the country.
